TOP 5 CINEMA HALLS IN CHANDIGARH
- Emporium mall
- Dhillon complex
- Elante mall
- Neelam theater
- wave cinema
Emporium mall
It’s in City Emporium Mall. Multiple important issues is that their ticket counter is on the LHS of the main entry. I directly went upstairs & then had to come down to buy the tickets. The lift was working, however, the escalators were not. The entire mall is empty. Only this theater is working. I went only for the movie & hence didn’t get unhappy. Yet, if you are arranging to check out the Mall as well, then oK go to Elante or any other Mall in Chandigarh.
They screen the latest Bollywood, Hollywood & Punjabi movies. If I remember correctly, then my movie was on 0.4 Screen & I just loved that. It was super spacious, the seats were comfortable & the leg space was super awesome !! Even though my seat was in the 3rd row, it was Row 6 or 7 – if I compare it with any other theater. It was the best experience I had for Rs 140 🙂 .. Sound quality was good, washrooms were clean & snacks were also available.
Dhillon complex
Dhillon Complex and theater (Shopping mall) is located in Panchkula, Haryana, India. A nearby area or landmark is Manimajra. The address of Dhillon Complex and theater is Mansa Devi Rd, New Motor Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh, Haryana 160101, India. Dhillon Complex and theater has quite many listed places around it and we are covering at least 99 places around it on Helpmecovid.com.
One of the oldest shopping malls/ cinemas in Tricity. Sadly, There are only McD’s and the theater operational now. The parking is on open ground, still, you’ll have to pay for the same. The building and theater need better maintenance, and the quality of food/ snacks needs major improvement, especially considering the price that one has to pay here. Apart from this, the crowd is usually less over here, as compared to other cinemas. And the location of the mall is quite convenient as well.
Elante mall
Elante, created by Larsen & Toubro Group, is the biggest mall in Punjab, Chandigarh. You will be surprised to learn that the mall is stretched over 1.15 million sq. ft. of retail space and that is why praised to be the most extensive mall in this region. It includes an assortment of international & domestic lifestyle trademarks, departmental stores, a recreation zone, a meals bench, a multiplex, a hypermarket, and open distances.
Often known as the ‘City Beautiful, Chandigarh is one of the most well-planned and developed cities in India. Till now, the city has faced criticism for the limited number of malls and the presence of international brands. The Elante Mall proves to be the best answer to the words of critics. The mall has been built keeping in mind complex, named surroundings protection norms. The mall’s air and infrastructure are ideal and can draw anyone.
Neelam theater
Earlier cinema-goers would chase us, now we have to track them,” says a sad Sucha Singh, who has been a security at the Neelam Theatre in Sector 17 for the past 35 years.
“Someone would throng the theatre, tickets would be purchased a week in advance,” he remembers of a time long gone.
“Various country offices and the precinct chateaus moved from Sector 17, then the bus stand to Sector 43. The malls came up, and spelled our collapse,” he says.
Today, Neelam Theatre stays a tall, imposing skill, right in the heart of the Sector 17 plaza, but wears a vacant and rough look, as if its only drive is that of a relic collecting memories.
Neelam was made in the earlier 1950s and was one of the first three theatres shown for Chandigarh by its planners.
Wave cinema
The people of Chandigarh might have a different opinion but the fact is a fact. Wave Cinemas at City Emporium Mall is undoubtedly the best cinema hall in the tri-city. The halls are clean, the seats are comfortable with proper leg space unlike those halls like say example PVR Elante Mall. Eyeing a movie with ease comes top and Wave Cinemas commits this with a huge margin.
