One of the oldest Cinema hall in Chandigarh is Neelam theatre, it was built in the early 1950s and is one of the famous theatres of the city designed by le Corbusier. This Theatre is designed by architect Aditya Prakash under the guidance of Pierre Jeanerette.
Currently, this theatre has been leased out to Rajan Batra, who has plans to renovate it.

They have big seating arrangements, and there are many food joints so you can relish the food either before the movie or maybe later. It has 13 auditoriums, the sound quality is amazing, the halls are vast, and you get a good view of the screen as well.

It is one of the famous cinema halls in Chandigarh, Wave Cinema should be on preference if you are expecting a stunning and lavish environment. 5. Kiran Theatre

It is one of the most precious and oldest single-screen cinemas in Tricity. Sector 22 is the ancientest and at that time it was like a city itself, thus Kiran theatre has always relished that reputation.

  • It is one of those theatres which took the risk and screened Hollywood movies like Titanic and Jurrasic Park.
  • It can accommodate up to 500 movie fans at one time.

Kiran theatre operates five shows a day. The first show starts at 9 am and the last show runs at 9 pm. The number of shows depends upon the rate of footfall.
